Just made three dozen snickerdoodles. My hands smell like cinnamon. =)
I registered for next semester's classes this week. Unless I change my mind I'm taking:
MTH 302 Foundations of Math (Required for math major.)
DArt 230 Web Development (I'm thinking about adding a minor in digital art. I think I could really like it. I've already taken two CSC classes that would count toward it and this would be another.)
PSY 155 Intro Psychology (I need a social science. I have to ask someone to make sure this counts, but I would think it does.)
HON 245 Eastern Religious Classics (I need two honors religions-decided to stick with the honors program.)
HON 393 Literature of the Holocaust (Just an honors elective. I'm hoping I love it. I've always been interested in the holocaust. When I was little I read a lot of books set during that time.)
And I've decided on a BA instead of a BS. You can do either with a math major. If I were doing a BS I'd have to take Physics II next semester and LOLOLOLOLOL that is not happening.
It's a better schedule than this semester's at least. 10:00 MWF and 9:30 TR as the earliest. I had- well, have- physics at 8:00 this semester. It's awful.
My parents are thinking about getting another (used) car again. I think they probably will this time. This year my mom and I have been sharing one car, so most days she ends up driving me. It's a pain. If we get another I'll get the one we've been sharing.

The sorting hat says that I belong in Ravenclaw!

Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose intelligence is surest."
Ravenclaw students tend to be clever, witty, intelligent, and knowledgeable.
Notable residents include Cho Chang and Padma Patil (objects of Harry and Ron's affections), and Luna Lovegood (daughter of The Quibbler magazine's editor).
Take the most scientific Harry Potter
Quiz ever created.
My scores were:
Ravenclaw: 67
Slytherin: 58
Hufflepuff: 57
Gryffindor: 50
Huh.

Tonight was the David Levithan and Rachel Cohn event! I'm tired, so this post probably isn't going to be very exclamation point-y, but believe me, was very excited and happy. And still am.
I expected it to be like the other events I've gone to at this bookstore- with a reading, Q&A session, and then signing. But when I got there there wasn't any area set up with seats, there was just a table in the front with their books. I was disappointed, thinking they were only going to sign the books and we wouldn't get to hear them talk.
I saw David and Rachel in the store before the set time but didn't talk to them because I didn't know what to say. *eyeroll* Eventually they sat down and we all got in line. I was third I think. Apparently, they also though they would be reading, as well as everyone in line. There was disappointment all around. So they signed my books, then I thought I'd just wander around for a while and maybe when the line was done (it wasn't very long) I'd go back and ask for a picture or just talk to them. But then! They must have talked to the store because they made an announcement saying that they would be doing a reading after all! Which they did!
They read from Dash and Lily's Book of Dares, which I bought tonight. It sounds like it's going to be hilarious. Especially David's part. I have a feeling I'm going to be rereading it every Christmas, like I do with Let it Snow now.
Then they answered questions. David's next book (next October) sounds interesting. He worked with a photographer. The photographer would give him random pictures and David would write about them, finding a way to incorporate them into what he'd already written. (The photographer didn't read any of what he'd written, so it was even more challenging.) It reminds me of the premise of Twice Told. I'm looking forward to it.
Another interesting thing that David said was that he doesn't picture characters when he is writing or reading. He asks authors about this and he's found that about 1/4 don't picture the characters and 3/4 do. I've never pictured them either. I always thought that was kind of weird, but apparently it's not very.
So it ended up being like most other events, just backwards. I got my picture with them at the end.
Rachel.
Didn't get a good picture of David unfortunately.
I love David's smiley faces with the unibrows! So cute!

I'm so awkward! My arms are just dangling uselessly by my sides. XD
Anyway, it was an amazing night. Authors are the most awesome people in the world. I want to hug them all.
I hope this was coherent. As I said, I like to write these memories down right away before I start forgetting details... Yay!

"Kathy, I'm lost," I said, though I knew she was sleeping.
I'm empty and aching and I don't know why.
Those two lines keep going through my head.
I must have watched this video 20 times in the past two days. I wish I could have the opportunity to be at something like this. It looks like an amazing experience. (You can skip to 1:00.)
Back to my research paper... (HA, as if I've even started it.)

I just found out that David Levithan and Rachel Cohn are coming to the Doylestown Bookshop on October 29th!! I'm so excited! That's where I met David before, with Libba, and also where I met Laurie Halse Anderson, Lauren Myracle, and Jay Asher. I LOVE that store. David signed all of his books that I had at the time, but I have more now, so he can sign them. And Rachel can sign hers and Nick and Norah, which David signed last time. And I can get their new book that looks really good. And it will be awesome. =D
The new Nancy Drew game also came in the mail today. I've been waiting for this one. Lately, I've been a bit bored with them but this one looks delightfully creepy. I hope it doesn't let me down. I'm not going to start it yet because I want to be able to play it straight through. It's called Shadow at the Water's Edge.
I have off Monday and Tuesday for fall break. I have to write a research paper, but I'm still hoping to do something fun. I wanted to go to Farley's, this lovely little independent bookstore. And Peddler's Village, where they're having their scarecrow contest. That's always fun. I love the fall so much.
Anyway, I'm in a great mood right now. I just watched Bringing Up Baby. I love that movie. It's so funny. Old movies are the best movies. And now I'm hopefully going to finish reading Never Let Me Go. It's interesting. I want to see the movie as well, but it's not playing near me yet. Ah well.
